Usage / Application Direction

The proper application of CreteStone Anchor Epoxy ensures that the product achieves its maximum performance. Below is a step-by-step guide to its usage:

Prepare the Surface:
Optimal surface preparation CreteStone Anchor Epoxy It is important that the application surface is clean. Cleansing substrate and free of other particles, dust, oil, grease, rust, and other easily detached particles. Scrape with a wire brush or grind the surface to remove any loose concrete or anything which will impact epoxy bond.

Drill the Holes:
For anchoring applications, make hole in to the concrete or masonry at the required depth and size of the hole depends to the size of the anchor used. Make sure there is no debris or dust inside the holes since this will interfere with the bonding of the epoxy.

Curing and Drying :
It is highly recommended that no water is present on that surface, particularly on places that are usually exposed to humidity, as moisture hinders the hardness of epoxy and its adhesion.

Mix the Components:
CreteStone Anchor Epoxy usually includes two types: resin and hardener. These have to be blended to the proportions that are advised by the producer. Mix the products vigorously until the mass equals homogeneous and there are no streaks in it.

Check the Working Time:
Dispersed epoxy has finite working time in which one can apply it before it starts hardening. It is advisable to use it when necessary so that it does not cure before getting to the intended place.

Inject the Epoxy:
With the help of dispensing tool or a spatula applicator apply the mixed epoxy at the centre of the drilled holes. Ensure that the hole is filled all the way but not to the brim. Make certain that epoxy encases the anchor or rod placed to be a significant scope.

Insert the Anchor:
When the hole is full of the epoxy, you should place the anchor, bolt, or rebar into it as quickly as possible. Dampen or turn down on the anchor so that it forms good contact with the epoxy.

Allow Curing:
Once you’re done pouring the epoxy, let it cure, depending on the underlayment manufacturer’s guide. Most of the curing time will therefore vary depending on the environmental conditions for instance the temperature and the humidity. In order to provide the most effective anchoring it is advised that the epoxy cures before it is put under any measurable load.
